When the ideal weight loss plan is in the cards

By: Niranjan Bhatt The ideal weight-loss plan for the average person depends on the individual.

For the most part, the ideal diet plan is simple: eat fewer calories, lose fat and maintain a healthy lifestyle.

However, this is not always the case.

Some people may be in better shape than others and therefore require different dietary patterns.

The key is to determine the ideal nutrition and lifestyle plan for your individual.

This article is based on a presentation given at the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) National Institute Obesity and Related Diseases (NIAMS) National Obesity Forum, on the first day of the conference.

Niranjan was a presenter for the first time, and was accompanied by senior researcher Dr Akshay Kumar, as well as the NIDDK Nutrition and Dietetics and Nutrition Science Unit, the NIMH Nutrition Institute and the NIDA Nutrition Programmes.

He spoke about the importance of weight loss and how to achieve it.

For the first half of this episode, Niranjana is joined by a special guest, Dr Ravi Purohit.

Dr Purohit is a professor of nutrition and dietetics at the Harvard School of Public Health.

He is a member of the Harvard Nutrition Research Center (NHRC) and the National Obesity Program (NOP) and chair of the National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine’s Nutrition and Physical Activity Research Group (NPARG).

He has published extensively on the subject of weight and body composition, as a leading expert on the effects of diet and exercise on body composition and metabolism.

The podcast has been produced by NIDUK and edited by Ravi Srinivasan and Dr Niranjit Bhatt.
